Wedding Comb Beadwork

Jean Erickson Artist Statement - Beads, Fiber, Found Objects and Recycled Parts Cabochons and bead embroidery are creative catalysts, impossible to replicate in their combinations, defying attempts to create patterns for art that grows out of the random placement of “candidates”: complementary shapes, sizes, colors and textures that bring rocks, glass, fiber, metal and clay to life in a free-wheeling style I find joyful and satisfying.

I am a participating member of the Casa Grande Art Association, Phoenix East Valley Beaders, Upper Midwest Bead Society and teach classes in Ironwood Village to support the arts in Casa Grande and to further the understanding, enjoyment and appreciation of beadwork as fine art.
